JBL® Sound Keeps Bikes Moving for Trek World Racing Team


NORTHRIDGE, Calif.--JBL, Inc., a division of Harman International Industries, Incorporated (, today announced its sponsorship of the Trek World Racing team. JBL will be the team’s official audio brand, and Harman International will supply JBL® equipment to support the Trek worldwide 2009 mountain trail season. From the JBL-mobile-audio-equipped team trailer that transports the team’s gear to each race to the JBL professional speakers used in the Trek pit area, the JBL brand is bringing the latest in audio technology to these elite athletes.

The Trek World Racing team is one of the first World Cup teams to combine both cross-country athletes and downhill athletes in one highly competitive squad. These music enthusiasts ride hard, and expect the best from their bikes and audio equipment.


Trek World Racing downhill rider Tracy Moseley says, “Having the opportunity to ride for Trek this year is fantastic, and sponsors like the JBL brand keep my motivation level high. Music is what keeps me peddling through the rough patches.”

For more than 50 years, the JBL brand has provided award-winning sound technology to familiar venues, including concert halls, movie theaters and even Olympic games’ sites. This partnership is reaching new consumers who are passionate about great sound. Internal research has shown that Trek consumers are music enthusiasts and 78% prefer premium brands with JBL resonating at the top of the list.

The Trek World Racing team currently leads the World Cup downhill series. Trek World Racing team members are Luckas Fluckiger, Matthias Fluckiger, Liam Kileen, Justin Leov, Tracy Moseley and Andrew Neethling.
