50,000 Facebook Friends . . . And Counting!

Our legendary JBL brand recently marked a key milestone, linking up with more than 50,000 “friends” on social media site Facebook. Serving audio enthusiasts since 1946, JBL has a loyal following across every genre and generation.
“You guys are the BEST,” posted one Facebook friend on the occasion. “Rock on,” added another, as the JBL team posed for photos to salute its loyal fans. Others took the step in stride, and continued simply enjoying the JBL Facebook page as a portal to exchange audio tips, review new products, and keep in touch with friends.
JBL was founded in 1946 by James B. Lansing, an audio enthusiast who amazed his friends from an early age by building radio transmitters, crystal sets, and similar audio gadgets. He ultimately founded James B. Lansing, later shortened to JBL as demand for the company’s loudspeakers, headphones, and multimedia products grew rapidly.
Lansing’s company was later acquired by HARMAN, who has built it into the premium name in audio. JBL loudspeakers and related technologies are admired by enthusiasts across the automotive, consumer and professional markets. More than 20 million vehicles on the road today share the brand’s DNA. Home users still treasure JBL audio components built more than 60 years ago, and the unit’s loudspeakers routinely tour with leading artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Celine Dion, and Peter Frampton. JBL gear is also installed in such world-class performance venues as London’s Royal Albert Hall, Lincoln Center, Yankee Stadium, and House of Blues.
Success begins and lasts with friends. Thank you Facebook fans for proving once again that JBL enthusiasts like it loud!
