Join us as we unveil the biggest brand marketing and fan initiative in the legendary JBL brand’s 60+ year history. Our Hear the Truth campaign will feature many of the world’s top musical artists who will challenge listeners to “Hear the Truth” about how great sound can be with JBL equipment. The campaign will be seen by hundreds of millions of consumers around the world via television, cinema, print, online and billboard media.
The campaign will kick off with the GRAMMY® Award winning group Maroon 5, one of the hottest pop/rock bands on tour today. The currently boasts the Number One song on the Hot 100 charts, “Moves Like Jagger,” featuring a special guest performance by pop artist Christina Aguilera.
Maroon 5 has sold more than 15 million albums and is currently in the midst of a sold-out worldwide tour. The band is headed by lead singer and guitarist Adam Levine, who is also the star of the US hit TV show The Voice.
In addition to Maroon 5, the HARMAN JBL campign will launch with support from China's "King of Pop" Liu Huan, 80's rock legend Night Ranger, and the multi-platinum group Styx. Check the HARMAN and JBL Web sites for updates as the campaign momentum builds.
The Hear the Truth TV campaign will be directed by Academy Award winning director Barry Levinson, whose credits include such movies as Rain Man, Good Morning Vietnam, and Bugsy. He has directed a distinguished group of stars including Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Redford, Warren Beatty, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Barry is currently working on a new film project with Pacino and John Travolta.
The campaign will launch first in the Unites States and will be seen on major TV programs across some 20 networks including NBC, ABC, USA, TNT, TBS, MTV, and VH1. Late-night talk show fans will see our JBL advertising on almost every major segment, from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, to Jimmy Kimmel, to Carson Daily.
We’ll also be reaching out to viewers during the season premiere of Saturday Night Live with Alec Baldwin on September 19th, as well as the September 26th episode hosted by "Bridesmaids" scene-stealer Melissa McCarthy.
