JBL Teams Up as Sound Partner at Madison Square Garden

HARMAN’s JBL brand is pleased to announce another milestone in its ‘Hear the truth’ global branding campaign, through our exciting new partnership with New York’s legendary Madison Square Garden and Beacon Theater.  As the Official Sound Partner for all live music events at the venues, JBL is turning up the volume for its fans before, during and after the show!

Upon entering the venue, fans will be greeted by a JBL disc jockey booth in the mall area, where they can enjoy some favorite tunes.  They will also have an opportunity to participate in a trivia contest based on the artist now performing at The Garden, and a chance to win a JBL OnBeat docking station.

A separate JBL display area will offer visitors the chance to test drive the brand’s latest products, and pick up special promotional codes for purchasing through JBL or others.

Inside the arena, a massive light banner will broadcast JBL’s ‘Hear the truth’ message before and after each show.  In addition, JBL promotional spots will run on more than 75 flat panel display screens throughout the venue.   The new partnership follows the announcement that a variety of top artists have joined the JBL campaign, including top rock band Maroon 5, Night Rangers, Styx, Liu Huan of China and top Indian artist and composer A. R. Rahman.  Watch for news as additional stars join the JBL campaign.

Madison Square Garden and its Beacon Theater, known affectionately to many New Yorkers as “The Garden,” is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the New York City borough of Manhattan.  Opened on February 11, 1968, it is the longest-serving major sporting facility in the New York metropolitan area, and the current facility is the fourth incarnation of the arena in the city.

The facility is the third busiest music arena in the world in terms of ticket sales, surpassed only by M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, England and The O2 Arena in London.  The present Madison Square Garden hosts approximately 320 events per year, covering a wide range of sports and entertainment.
