HARMAN JOINS HOLLYWOOD TO HELP MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE

Recently, a number of Hollywood’s elite joined Harman International in attending a key sponsorship event in Los Angeles for Dream Foundation, the first and largest national non-profit organization for granting wishes to adults with life-limiting illness.  In fourteen years, Dream Foundation has granted thousands of long-awaited dreams to people in the last season of their life. 

Harman has been a supporter of several previous foundation events and served this year as the presenting sponsor.  The Dream Makers Circle Reception was created to thank the organization’s most loyal supporters and to raise funds for future foundation activities.  The event was held at the home of legendary songwriter and multiple Grammy Award winner, Diane Warren, with other supporters in attendance including Priscilla Presley, Joely Fisher, Kathy Griffin, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush, guitarist Don Felder, astronaut Buzz Aldrin and more. 

Harman used the opportunity both to continue its foundation support and to strengthen relationships with its many friends and customers in the entertainment industry.  Joe Pullin, VP of Marketing for the company’s automotive division and Brad Hoffman, VP of Corporate Communications represented Harman at the event.

Among the highlights of the evening was a performance by Don Felder, former guitarist for The Eagles who composed the hit song Hotel California.  Don beamed his classic hit to the crowd through Harman audio systems with support from Jack Blades of the Night Ranger, Damn Yankees, and Shaw/Blades groups.  Brooke White, who was among the top five finalists on this season’s American Idol, also treated fans to several songs.

Actress Joely Fisher, whose father Eddie and mother Connie Stevens delighted audiences for decades hosted a brief program which included a fund-raising auction and the personal stories of several Dream recipients.  Priscilla Presley joined the event in her long-time role as foundation ambassador.
