HARMAN Additional Privacy Notice for Residents of Colorado, Delaware, Oregon, and Other U.S. States with Comprehensive Privacy Laws

This Additional Notice applies to you if you are a resident of Colorado, Delaware, Oregon, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, and the privacy law in that state applies to HARMAN's processing of your Personal Information.
This Additional Notice supplements HARMAN's Privacy Notice. The disclosures in the Privacy Notice also apply to you unless otherwise noted herein.
Additional Data Processing Disclosures
Our Privacy Notice contains a description of our general data collection practices, including the categories of Personal Information we collect, the categories of sources from which Personal Information is collected, the purposes for collection, and the entities to which we disclose Personal Information.
We do not “sell" Personal Information in the traditional ways, but we do use your Personal Information for targeted advertising purposes. We do this to analyze and optimize our services, personalize your online experience, provide advertisements that are more relevant to you, and for statistical research and analytics.
We typically disclose the following categories of Personal Information to Advertising Platforms for the purposes described above: Identifiers, Geolocation Information, and Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information.
We do not intend sell or disclose children's Personal Information for targeted advertising purposes, and we have no actual knowledge of doing so.
Your Privacy Rights
You may request to exercise the following rights with respect to the Personal Information that HARMAN maintains:

The right to access. You have the right to confirm whether we are processing your Personal Information and to access such Personal Information.

The right to correct. You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information that we maintain about you.

The right to delete. You have the right to request that we delete your Personal Information under specific circumstances.

The right to opt out. You have the right to object or opt out of certain types of processing, including: (1) processing for the purpose of targeted advertising, (2) processing for the purpose of the sale of Personal Information, and (3) processing for the purpose of certain types of profiling and automated decision-making.

The right to data portability. You have the right to request a copy of your Personal Information in an accessible format.

The right to equal service. If you choose to exercise any of these rights, we will not discriminate against you in anyway. If you exercise certain rights, understand that you may be unable to use or access certain features of the Sites or our services.
If you are a resident of Oregon or Minnesota, you also have the right to request a list of third parties to whom we disclose Personal Information.
Exercising Your Rights
You can exercise your rights in the following ways:
You may also exercise your right to opt out through a browser setting or extension to communicate your preference to automatically opt out of targeted advertising. We honor your right to opt out of targeted advertising as signaled by a universal opt-out signal or Global Privacy Control (“GPC") as required by law. To enable GPC, you can visit the Global Privacy Control page at https://globalprivacycontrol.org. If you download a supported browser or extension and exercise your privacy rights with GPC, we will turn off certain third-party cookies on the applicable Site after the Site detects a GPC signal. However, if you visit a Site from a different device or from a different browser on the same device, you will need to opt out or use an opt-out preference signal for that browser and/or device.
HARMAN will respond to requests in accordance with applicable law. You may have a right to appeal a HARMAN's refusal to take action on your request. Please contact
privacy@harman.com to submit an appeal. If you are unhappy with the result of the appeal, you may contact the Attorney General in your state.
Verifying your Identity
In some cases, we will need to verify the identity of the individual submitting the request. We will do this by:

Step 1: HARMAN will send an email to the email address that you provided as part of an account creation or other registration process. Please read through this email, complete the verification criteria, and once complete, send a reply email back to HARMAN. The required criteria are described below (unless otherwise noted in the email):
- In the email we will ask you to reply with at least two pieces of information to verify your identity, dependent on the nature of your request and the sensitivity of the information that is the subject of your request.
- Reply to the email and provide us with at least two (and in some cases three) pieces of information, HARMAN will match the information you provide to the information that HARMAN already maintains about you. HARMAN will only use the information you provide for the purpose of verifying your identity.
- Confirm our summary of the actions you want us to take (e.g., “delete my Personal Information").
- Send your reply email back to the original sender with the above information to verify your identity.
If you submit a request and HARMAN does not have an email address for you, we will perform the steps listed above via phone.

Step 2: After receiving the information above and confirming your identity, we will take action to review the request. If we cannot verify your identity to a sufficient level of certainty to respond to your request, we will let you know promptly and explain why we will be unable to fulfill your request.
If your state permits you to use an agent to submit a request on your behalf, we may verify both your and your agent's identity and request a signed document from you that authorizes your agent to make the request on your behalf. To protect your Personal Information, we reserve the right to deny a request from an agent that does not submit proof that you have authorized them to act on their behalf.
